His international career kicked off when he competed in China at the Universiade in 2011 where he finished 7th with a 7.81m jump. In 2012 he won the SA senior champs with a 8.21m jump and in 2013 he topped the SA rankings with his 8.32m leap. In 2013 he once again won the SA title with 8.29m. He has represented his country at the World Champs in Moscow as well as at the World indoor champs at Sopot in Poland. South Africa ha a very strong long jump trio going to the games with the experienced Mokoena, the warrior Visser and the upcoming star Samaai, we can’t go wrong and should come home with a medal! Or can we do what Jamaica did at the Olympic games in London with the 200m and take all 3 medals?
